Our story didn't start in a boardroom or a test kitchen. It started where so many great things start: in a home kitchen, with a mom who refused to choose between caring for her kids and chasing a dream.
A Sauce Born from a Mom’s Heart
Long before Bitchin' Sauce was on shelves across the country, our founder Starr Edwards was just a mom in her kitchen, blending up something delicious with her baby underfoot. She believed, and still believes, that no parent should ever have to choose between being there for their family and making a living.
That belief became the foundation of everything we do. What started as a small operation at San Diego farmer's market grew into the Bitchin' Sauce you know and love today.
A Company Built for Families, By family.
In the early days, Bitchin' Sauce ran in-house childcare so parents on our team could bring their little ones to work. Crying babies, sticky fingers, and snack breaks were all part of the daily rhythm. Because we knew that supporting working parents wasn't a perk. It was the whole point.
As the company grew and our team went fully remote, we knew we had to keep showing up for our parents in real, meaningful ways. That's why Starr adapted the Bitchin' Kids program, providing untaxed childcare reimbursements of up to $7,500 annually for day camps, preschool, daycare, and nanny services. Being a working parent is hard, and we want our team to have the support they actually need.
Family Is Woven Into Everything
